My first 39-er 🙂
Also the third morning wasn’t very promising in regards to the weather, but I had to get walking either way. A day finally arrived, when there wasn’t much traffic on the road, a true bliss. However, it was also the first of the days when the road slowly started to go up, and at the same time my pace started to go down.   Considering the terrain I walked through, I was very surprised at the end of the day, because I managed to walk 39 kilometers (24.3 miles). In the evening, I treated myself to a huge hamburger, in order to regain at least some of the calories I had burned.
The next morning, I was woken up by the sun. Full of energy, I hit the road that still lead alongside the west coast of the Pacific. The afternoon already slowly started to turn into evening, and on the top of the hill, right before the town of Netarts, I ran into a gentleman standing in front of a diner, so I decided to ask him if he knows of a place nearby, where I could set up my tent. After I explained to him what I’m doing, he, of course, immediately offered a place on his lawn behind the diner. I quickly set up my tent and went in for a cold one
I hadn’t even sat down properly yet, he already brought me a cold beer and a menu, and he insisted I ate something on the house, because he was impressed by my adventure. There was an NBA match going on that evening, and I watched it together with the locals.

It was very difficult to hide such a big tent 🙂

Considering the way the trash was looked through, I am sure this was done by a black bear and not a grizzly 😉

Skoraj ves cas prazne ceste.
