This is Dale
P.S. The one with the hat 🙂

Tipicen vaski posebnez ampak legenda.

Getting to know the drinking culture 🙂
In regards to walking, day six wasn’t exactly something to brag about
However, it was one of the most fun ones so far.
After a bit more than 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) of walking in hot weather somewhere in the middle of nowhere, I felt like eating something salty, and conveniently just around the corner, I find a small shop. I sit down in the shade and treat myself to some tortilla chips, and we all know what happens after that – you get thirsty, of course  Anyway, I continue my journey for a few more kilometers and in a completely isolated area I see this little bar.
Because I needed to charge my batteries and more importantly, I was thirsty, I went in to check what’s going on. After a few minutes of silence, we started talking and, of course, the question about what I’m doing in such a remote place followed. The conversation started flowing and everyone who came in heard what my plans were and said: Give this guy a beer   Anyway, the beers kept coming (small ones, of course)   One of all these people stood out, and that is …Dale
A typical countryside character, but awesome as hell.
His first question was if I’m carrying any weapons. At first, I didn’t know what to say because I didn’t know what his intentions were … So, I show him the knife I had with me (a normal butter knife).
Of course, he starts laughing and quickly goes somewhere. He comes back in 15 minutes with a brand new knife that isn’t big, but it’s very sharp! He puts it in my hands and says: It’s yours. At the same time, he also warned me that in case you’re carrying a knife in your pocket, it has to be visible or you have to have it stored somewhere in a visible place, otherwise it’s a crime. Of course, we got deep into conversation, and all of a sudden it was 7 p.m. I want to pay my bill for my food and drinks, but the woman behind the bar didn’t want to take a single dollar – not only that, she also told me where I can camp a bit further down without having to worry. Since it was already getting dark, I quickly said goodbye and went to the location 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) away to set up my tent. Just as I started setting up, a white SUV drives up to me. Great, just what I needed: a drunk foreigner with a children’s wagon on his way to the east coast, yes, of course, the guy in the car will definitely believe my story … But surprise, surprise, the woman from the bar steps out of the car – she came to check that I arrived safely … a truly nice gesture!!
And you already know what follows then … sleeping
